There is universal agreement on the need to drive economic growth through small and medium enterprises (SME's). We believe that this institute will assist in the development of SME's and Business Leaders, both young and old, to make a positive impact in their society.
Get Business Smart Foundation Limited (‘GET SMART’) is a registered non-profit organization. The entity was formed in November 2016 to provide basic entrepreneurial training/business skills to emerging and promising operators of commercial enterprises, by establishing a training institute. The idea of having an entrepreneurial institution of this nature was birth from the ideas of two successful entrepreneurs, Denise Buchanan and Fieona Griffiths who saw the need to give back to their country of origin and develop the niche which they are both passionate. The institute will be operating on a non-profit basis and is expected to be financed heavily by sponsorship from altruistic individuals and corporations with a passionate commitment to the development of countries around the world.
Our Approach
Where students are expected to comprise a mix of unemployed high school graduates and unemployed university alumni, it is expected that these individuals will set up their own businesses and create self- employment.
Whereby the target constituency comprises unexperienced business owners and government workers facing imminent redundancy. These persons will be of more mature age and would have had useful life experience and employment exposure. It is expected that this grouping will be able to establish sustainable businesses that can provide employment for others including unemployed youth.
